We recently stayed at Bagden Hall for a surprise birthday celebration. The Jessie Norton Suite no.2 had a huge and comfortable bed, with a clean room and even some biscuits awaiting our arrival. The hotel itself is wonderful, with friendly staff and a delicious breakfast. The grounds are perfect for walking our dog, and the staff took excellent care of him. We will definitely be returning.
We had a fantastic stay at Bagden Hall and would be more than happy to recommend this hotel to others.

Good cooked breakfast in the restaurant, not in a bag to the room as the website mentions!
Nothing!

Good breakfast. Lovely grounds. Very dog friendly - even getting a sausage at brekkie. Like that parts of grounds left wild to encourage nature. Room was clean and spacious.
Didn't like £10 service charge suddenly being added to room price. Service really bad at breakfast on first day and had to find our own spoons, butter etc as not been set up on table. Cream carpet not practical with dogs.

We visited The Coffee Loft, set only 300 m away. If you want to visit Kirklees Light Railway, you should stay here. Excellent 3-star experience.

The value for money was great, with a comfortable bed and a lovely view from the room. The hotel's location was perfect for my Son's wedding, and the staff were incredibly friendly, especially considering it was a doggy friendly hotel. The meals were hot, delicious, and served with a smile by Ms Gleeson and her efficient staff.
The menu for breakfast could be improved with a bit more variety.

Hotel staff were very helpful and friendly. I stayed in the Annex which was very quiet and only a short walk to the main hotel. Very large car park.

The food was delicious, with great attention to detail and a wide range of options. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly, going above and beyond to accommodate our needs. The location was beautiful, nestled in the midst of woods and parkland.
The water pressure in the shower and bath was quite low and could be improved.

The location of the hotel was beautiful, surrounded by stunning gardens and a serene lake. It was a great spot for a relaxing walk and enjoying the scenery. The staff at the hotel were friendly and helpful, especially the receptionist and the waitstaff. They provided good service during our stay. The breakfast at the hotel was delicious, with high-quality ingredients and well-cooked dishes. It was a great way to start the day and fuel up for our activities.
The hotel rooms were in need of refurbishment. There were several small issues, such as a loose toilet seat, a broken shower head, and a musty smell in the bathroom.
